I purchased some years ago from an auction, an old Luftwaffe's engine generator. Does anyone know which kind of engine is coming from, or maybe which type of aircraft?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,

This is actually an electric motor. The gerät-nr 19-5542 B-1 and W.Nr 93969 is stamped on the case and can be seen in IMG-2. Also, Lg 30 is stamped on the endplate in IMG-7
where you can see the power terminals numbered 1, 2 and a low power connection 3. This looks to be a fairly powerful motor, possibly 1.5kw, 24v with the forced-air cooling shroud.
The simple stamped numbering would indicate quite late-war production.
Unfortunately, I do not have further info on this item. I would expect that this was from a large aircraft, possibly a motor from an automatic-pilot powerpack that operated flying controls.

Cheers

Eng

Thank you so much for the info Wurger !!! I've been told some years ago at Speyer's Flugzeugteilebörse, that it was coming from a Jumo004, but I was not sure if that was truth or not .... till today!

Thank you Eng for the info! To be honest, till today I didn't notice the existence of these stamped letters on it!
