Hi

Wonder if anyone can help me to confirm the type of aircraft in the attached photo. Taken of my Dad in N. Africa in 1943 I think it might be a Heinkel but I'm not sure.

To answer your question... these are the Ju-87 Stuka, dive bombers. Judging by the code letters seen in there these belonged to the St.G 3 squadron. The shape of the fixed central part of the cockpit canopy indicates the D variant of the bomber.

Probably El Daba November 1942. Quite a few Ju87 frames from Stg3 were found there.
