Some of the fine sanding and all should look correct. Secondly the thickness of the paint coat should be taken into consideration too. So when applied the armour plates shouldn't be so striking detail.

Them add the old raised panel lines and rivets, wow, that would be painful to look at.Yep ...I saw aircraft kits where the thickness of the fuselage walls would be the same like the front armour of the King Tiger in 1/1 scale. The panel lines either recessed or raised like the trenches or castle walls.
