Senior Airman
I finished a Hobby Boss 1/72 P-38 kit last month. It was termed "easy build". Not lots of fine detail, but very little molding flashing or other excess, and the parts fit together very well, with little extra work needed. It was depicted on the box an in the instructions as having an aluminum finish, like most U.S. aircraft later in the war. I enjoy painting with my airbrush, so I digressed by painting it in the earlier-in-the-war olive drab on the uppers, with neutral grey on the undersides. Did some light weathering.
