This is a model I had printed by a guy on Etsy before I found this site. The surface finish is terrible, ridges between the layers are very prominent.I questioned this at the time, but apparently it's the best his printer can do.Very hard to sand, and the lightweight filler I tried wouldn't adhere.
'So armed with the bits of knowledge I've gleaned from you guys I'm going to have another stab at it.Removed the canopy, sanded the surface and masked the underside.Next is plastic filler.

I forgot to take progress pics. It's had a full coat of plastic filler, which was then sanded back. Two coats of a high build brushed primer, plus some talc/paint filler on the visible blemishes.Sanded again then two coats of spray primer, which is where it sits at the moment.Still the odd flaw to fix but it's a damn sight better than it was.
I think I'll give it the same camo scheme as the other two,the green/brown was too dark for my taste.

Base colour,may need another coat.
'I've also drawn out the camo scheme and copied the first few onto masking tape.
The plane sits on what is known as a 'lazy susan'turntable,a left over from my cake decorating days (joke,I used it on my r/c builds) Comes in handy when spray painting.

Thanks for the 👍Wurger.I wonder if you can help me out.I'm running out of decals,I got a few off eBay but the only ones on there now are from China or the U.S.Shipping is either slow or exorbitant.
I don't have a printer,though I'm considering buying one.
Is there a for sale/wanted sub forum on here?

Generally we don't allow to trade here. But you may exchange someting if you want and have. There is a thread created for such post. Please use the link below.
But Judging by the post above it was enough to ask for also here. :)

And masks removed.Fair bit of touching up to do,but that's par for the course.
I may have a solution to my decal dilemma, just spoke to my grandaughter and she's recently bought a printer for her college work.I can buy paper off eBay.

Touching up done,I've also run along the hinge lines with a blunt scalpel,I'll see if I can highlight them a bit more before the final varnish.
'I think I've solved my glazing bar problem.I laid a strip of tape onto some scrap plastic and painted it with dark grey primer.Lifted it off straight away and laid it on again to dry off

Glazing bars added.Bloody hard with my dodgy eye.If I close the good one, everything looks wavy.Close the bad one and depth perception is lost. Both eyes give a mix of the two.
Anyhoo, stuck the canopy on,repainted the underside and it's now sitting waiting for decals.
