Why not? Your world is open. You can have many interests, some of which may become an occupation, while others may be hobbies. I would guess most of the members here have interests other than model building. I loved the Idea of flying for a living and hung around airports. Photography became important to keep the planes I had seen pass through. When old enough, cars became an important follow on from my bicycles. Many members here were Civil Air Patrol cadets in their teens. Look forward, and when a defeat rears it's ugly head, regroup and move on. Many of this forum have experience to share.

History, and all of its children, from the discovery of Fire and Wheel, all the way into Modern Day conflicts... then comes my childhood hobby of Seashells and Corals and other friends or so (crabs, fishes, you name it...), then came Minerals and Gemstones, also Linguistics and Ethimology are interesting worlds of their own, showing how one word has changed throughout history. What would become next? No idea, but pretty sure there are things to learn.

Man, there are even guys on this forum who invented the wheel. And some are older than coal but only by a single day.

What's more, I can tell you in confidence that they are even trying to find colors for the models they are building.
