Not exactly true but unless you're worried about a visit from the Model Police: Scale doesn't effect color. So when I and Wurger supplied those pictures of German troops we posted them for their color without regard to their scale. So use them for their color. At 1/72 a lot of detail is going to be lost in any case. At 1/72 a centimeter is down to 0.13mm and an English foot is 4mm
By the time of the Bulge battle Germany was scraping the bottom of the bowl so while I'm not an expert in any sense I don't suspect that they were too concerned about uniform color

okay thanks, i have another question about a p51d mustang i have build.
did the p51 exist in different Colors to this one?

By December 1944 Mustangs were generally in un-painted metalic silver with painted noses and alternating black and white striping one the under bellies/wings

The 352nd Fighter Group, "The Blue-Nosed Bastards of Bodney," During the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944, elements of the group were moved to fighter strip Y-29, Asche, Belgium.

The 78th fighter group was activated in 1942. The group was assigned to Duxford Aerodrome in April 1943. The group converted to P-51 Mustangs in December 1944 and participated in the battle of the bulge.

You might also note that P-47 Thunderbolts from the 387th FG also played a vital role

This is the diorama so far, its going to be a american trench that is under attack by german paratroopers. The bomb is a un detonated bomb.
