I think that quite possibly the most attractive floatplane to see combat in WWII was the Northrop N3PB. They did not build many but the Northrop Factory restored one of these, recovered from a fiord in Norway and brought it to the Torrance Armed Forces Day Parade, where I got to see it up very close.

So 5.5 tonnes every 30 seconds which equals 660 tonnes per hour.

Just a tad better than Australia where under 50 tonnes per hour from multiple fire bombers and the 737 fire bomber typically does a whole 60 tonnes per day

Just funny enough I 'm currently reading Conflict over the bay about battles between RAF Coastal Command and the DKM U-boats and it wasn't too difficult to play been a lookout trying to spot an attacking plane and it was quite impressive see one coming head on and roaring overhead. Just add a couple of 0.303 cals blasting from the nose and some deep charges falling to the sides and sure it would has been a hell of a experience for a german submariner:

That was said by the regional president a couple of days ago but the investigators denied they said that yesterday but with a small mouth. Maybe the police are trying to upload keep a low profile to catch the S.O.B, if there is one.
