President Roosevelt was one of many dignitaries to travel the Pan Am way. His 61stbirthday was celebrated on 30 January, 1943 aboard Boeing 314 Dixie Clipper between Trinidad and Miami. Sharing the cake with the Chief Executive are Admiral William D. Leahy, presidential advisor Harry L. Hopkins and the Clipper's pilot, Lt Cone.

M-130 Hawaii clipper at Pan Am's pier at Wake lsland, which was one ofthe first targets of Japanese attack in December 1941. The flying boat vanished over the Pacific in July 1938, Theories into its loss include sabotage or hijacking by Japanese agents,

An unidentified M-130 is assisted at Hong Kong by a Royal Air Force high-speed tender in 1936. Although in competition with lmperial Airways/BOAC Pan Am required a lot of British cooperation to operate from or via its overseas territories.

"Redistribute"? Clearly these images have been snaffled from different websites without permission or credit to the original sources and posted here.
