BTW les, you were looking to download new skins a while back. Try these sites. I'm not sure if they'll work with the old IL2 or not, but give 'em a shot anyway.

And if they don't work right away, I seem to recall reading somewhere that in the old IL2 the skins had to be 512 X 512. Alot of the ones for IL2:FB are twice that size, so just try shrinking them down with Photo Shop or Paint or something.

Makes me laugh though, when guys like Canon get all hot under the collar about their stuff.

Truth is, even I probably have more disposable than he does, and unless you have money to make a fight of it, there's little that can be done if someone's out to nick your work.

Yeah, Canon never really struck me as a bad guy except when he got really anal about his skins. You'd think they were his children or something.

He does make some top-notch skins though, there's no doubt about it. I think he just needs to get out a bit more.

They're in Full Mission Builder, CC. Under the Objects selections. You can preset damage to towns, enemy bases, whatever you want, just by setting up enough fires on the map.
Hell, you can have whole forest fires going if you want.

There's cool new smoke effects too.

Yep, with some of the smoke effects I use for chimleys (I know it's not splet right, but I'm as piss as a fart at the mo ) But yeah, it wll worth using both Fire Smoke Effects when making missions 8)
