Does anyone have any reference info on the way guns were set-up on WWII Fighter planes?
I'm currently reading Bud Andersons book "To fly and fight" and he talks about his squadrons P-51's shooting in a "box" pattern at a convergence of 300m or so. Anyone have any other info regarding other patterns? Was it pilot preference or was it up to flight leaders/squadron leaders?
Any help would be nice! (Also his book is amazing!!)
