I was scrolling through youtube shorts a few minutes ago, and I found a gun video about the Iraqi reload. Basically, the shooter draws the bolt back, releases the magazine while keeping the bolt back, puts the fresh mag in, and then lets the bolt go. Does this actually work and is it effective?
