Looks like it's going to be a very rewarding build. The engine is quite something. It's a shame, as you say, that it's going to be largely covered up when it's glued in. (I haven't ever seen 'open cowling' options on the Japanese plane kits to show off [parts of] the engine).
 
The interiors almost ready . Missing seat belts.
I bought the Eduard Pe with belts for Japanese Navy. Should arrived Wednesday or Thursday.

















 
I glued the wings and fuselage. While waiting for the glue was dry I painted the landing gear and wheel wells.
