I think this is a normal decision if the owner does not mind such extra costs.
The owner, Sekisui House, would have thought that such extra costs would be a good investment to improve corporate image as one of the largest condo developers.

That would be a shame. The history to be found in Japan is amazing and unique.

It just makes it extra special a must. Look at all the expensive brands. No shortage im buyers.

No, just put a sign out " under restauration " and close the site for a few years.
