Just like the title described, I'm looking for some books for this gallant lady.
Most preferred: available ebook
Second preferred: available paperback
Specially preferred: veteran's word( crew, pilot and their children)
Thank you
Skywalker

Dana's recommendation is Class A+++, a fine piece of work.

Going backwards in publication on the subject of USS Yorktown there are also a couple of oldies
  • Rendezvous at Midway: USS Yorktown and the Japanese Carrier Fleet by Pat Frank and Joseph D. Harrington (1967)
  • No Higher Honor - USS Yorktown at the Battle of Midway by Jeff Nesmith (1999)
  • They Turned the War Around at Coral Sea and Midway by Stuart Ludlum (2000)
And you might want to look at
  • No Right to Win: a Continuing Dialogue with Veterans of the Battle of Midway by Ronald W. Russell (2006) or visit Battle of Midway RoundTable

And there's this, too

And here's a little tidbit might be of passing interest (I have the original document)

It was said that Yorktown had a nickname called "Waltzing Matilda", why did the sailor call her this name? Curious about it.
