Maskol and Klear

Is it safe to mask klear-dipped canopies with Maskol or other making fluids? I ask because on my most recent build I ended up with a bit of visible stickiness on the canopy after I took the masking off, I couldn't work out if it was residue from the Maskol or if it had reacted with the Klear in some way. I read somewhere that the ammonia in Maskol isn't very good for acrylic paints, and isn't Klear acrylic based? I figured taking a solvent to it to try and get it off might be asking for trouble.

If Klear is the same as Future floor wax then ammonia will dissolve it.

Klear is supposed to be UK equivalent of Future. Amonia will dissolve it and alcohol with cause it to fog.
