Me-109 T-2

Here is an Me-109T-2 carrier fighter in 1/72 scale. This plane was origionally re-designed for the Graf Zepellen but with the demise of that program, it ended its days in Stravanger, Norway in 1942. There were only 60 units produced and all were destroyed by the end of the war. It is not known if all had folding wings. This is an old Merlin kit and although very crude, builds into a neat model of a relatively obscure version of the classic 109.

Sure was. The engine detail is surprisingly good and the cowling is so thick I didn't even try to mount it.
