Hi Guys,
Last week being busy during the 74th Anniversary of Operation Market Garden. Last week executing mass Airborne drops with many international Airborne units from The Netherlands, UK, US, Germany, Poland, France and Belgium on the Ginkel Heath(DZ Y in 1944). Yesterday was the main event on the Ginkel Heath. 30.000 spectators. The morning drop went well but due to strong winds and rain the afternoon waves were canceled.

Yesterday started early for all jumpers arriving at Eindhoven airbase. After receiving our parachutes more then 700 paratroopers boarded 5 C130s and a CASA 295M from the Polish Air Force. I had the honour jumping the Polish parachute from the CASA. After take off and a short hold up in the holding area the a/c lined up for the drop as in September 1944 from the historical correct approach route.
I promised Terry and Karl a few photo's...enjoy.

Again a humble feeling and extremely honored commemorating all the hero's from Arnhem!

Next year will be the 75th Anniversary...plans are being made for 18 a/c and 2000 jumpers.
Cheers Sander

bloody fantastic !
love the shot of the Herc's nose out of the rear door of your aircraft :thumbright:

hope the two guys that are tangled up were ok ?

thank you Sander.

and that is one ugly kid sat on that jeep's bonnet

Excellent - wish I'd been there and jumping again !
As Karl said, I hope the pair who collided, under their reserve canopies, are OK..
And yes, that's one ugly dog !!!

I think I may have hesitated too.
With three partly deployed canopies above me, there could be a chance of making it four bags of laundry by pulling the reserve, but, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and not much to lose at low level.
I wonder if they'll need to visit the QM Stores, for new trousers ...................

Hi Terry,
No, the mix isn't a problem. Only thing which has to be taken in regard are the different international Air Force regulations which parachute is allowed on the cable of a specific a/c. The two guys in the photo were the only paratroopers who got tangled that serious.
Cheers Sander

Thanks Sander - I'd just wondered if turn and descent rates might have caused some 'chasing' around the sky !
Obviously not.
Must be nice on those big canopies, instead of arriving like a bag of sh**e !!
