I have been researching U.S. L-birds for quite a while and have seen very little information about the Moncoupe 90AW - L-7A. I have read that some were sent to Free French forces at Ivato AB near Antananarivo, Madagascar. I have also read that some were sent to the RAF (AF834, AF838, AF844, AF849 and AF856 numbers have been quoted). Anybody have any info?

I can only find that 18 were sent to France and 1 was canceled.

USAAF Serial #
42-88638/88657 Universal L-7A-UN Model Monocoupe 90AF 88655 cancelled, the others delivered to France via Lend-Lease.

I cannot find anywhere that states the RAF received some, even from the French.

Thanks David, that matches what I've read on Joe Bauer's site. I got the RAF numbers from a post on another forum. I have never seen anything to back that up.

There is a model of Jean Renault's A/C (I have no idea who this is) by LF models in 1/72:

I've looked for info about Jean Renault in the Free French and I can only find references to this model. I'll keep looking as I am curious now.
