Mosquito T.III ZK-FHC, formerly TV959, had her first engine run today. She's being resorted by AvSpecs in NZ and will be going to the FHC when done. Here's a vid of the run...

From what I've heard, this one will be getting everything ironed out then packed up and shipped straight away - no tours of the country

Yeah, that's what I heard as well. I guess we got spoiled by Jerry Yagen with KA114 and all the flying it did here before going to the States. Still, I hope we still get some decent vids of its test flights and as I'm in Auckland I hope to be able to go see it fly.

The guys at FHC were pretty excited about this acquisition when I visited this weekend.

Engine runs and taxi trials took place in August. It's planned that it'll fly as part of the annual Battle of Britain Day flypast over Auckland.
