Please let us know how well those work. I can get those reasonably locally.I've gone old school and picked up bottles of Testors Dullcote and Glosscote to try.
Good to hear, while Future in its current formulation still works well, it takes a LONG time to dry and stays tacky for 2 - 3 days sometimes. Something that drys faster would be welcome!Testors Dullcoat is a well-proven product that works well. I've not used their gloss.
Not sure but it perhaps may be because I brush applied it as opposed to airbrushed it. On models that I have airbrushed the Future on they do seem to dry faster.Never had that problem with Future. Mine has always been fully cured within 24 hours.
Until the formula in the UK changed for Johnson's Kleer (Future), I mainly applied it by brush, and never had a drying problem. I could apply a second coat after around fifteen minutes, having allowed that long for the first coat to dry. I used to leave it around 24 hours before applying decals, just to make sure it was fully hardened, but it could be handled within minutes of application.
Since the formula changed, it's now as useful as a chocolate tea pot, so I've changed to the relatively new Humbrol Gloss Clear acrylic.
