This is a Northrop JB-10 glide bomb. Originally to be powered by two GE rockets in the JB-1 version, it was re-engined to make use of captured German V-1 pulse jet technology and re-designated JB-10. The engines were produced by Ford. The first prototype flew on April 6,1945. The model represents a JB-10 as delivered from Northrop, as there is no definitive information on US Army colors. As produced, the airframe was painted Metallic grey but the magnesium and aluminun components did not hold paint well. The kit is from 4-Squared to 1/72 scale. Very crude, but such an odd subject it was worth the effort.
