This was originally going to be a build for GB48 but I wasn't happy how the fuselage was a bit twisted no matter how I tried to untwist it. So I decided nope it will just be a normal build.

It went together fairly quickly only the twist in the fuselage causing any problems. I did have trouble with the floats the locating pegs on the floats and the holes in the wing undersides were out of line so I chopped off the pegs and made my own locating pins out of brass rod.

The 250lb Depth charges are from Eduard but I had to scratch build the Mk2a bomb carriers.

Wing guns are Albion Alloys aluminium tube the supplied guns were pathetic. I painted and detailed the rear gun which is nicely moulded
and then glued on the canopy forgetting to fit it🤬

It's painted in the normal maritime colours but I am not happy with the leading edge I suffer from hands that go a bit shaky sometimes and no matter how hard I try I can't get a neat paint edge.

Thanks guys. As soon as I saw this kit I wanted it, such a gorgeous looking floatplane. Hard to believe it was Northrop's first and only aquatic bird.
