Is that the same model that was used in the early episodes of Sky King? I seem to remember Dad telling me his earliest Songbird was a Beechcraft.
No it was a Cessna T-50 and I believe later he went to C-310B

You'd be surprised on how some pack rats will horde on to old airplanes with feeble plans of "restoring them." A few years ago I looked at a corroded out cessna 172 that I thought would make a good parts plane. The owner met me out at the plane was was asking top dollar as if the plane could still fly even though you could punch holes into the side of the airplane due to corrosion.
