I have a bottle of OD model paint that is "Faded Scale Factor Adjusted." The idea is that not only does OD paint fade but also that paint looks differently on models than it does on real airplanes, since paint grain has to get smaller to fit smoothly on models but that light does not get smaller to match the models

I painted a B-25B with that paint to give to a neighbor who flew them in the Med. It looked Okay.

But look at these B-25's. I don't think there is any OD on them, just tan and green.

Hi MIflyer,

Don't worry about the colors in that image - it's a colorized version of a B&W image. The aircraft were probably originally Sand over Neutral Gray with an OD pattern added to upper surfaces.
