P-38 Pilot Experiences

I have heard perhaps 20 P-38 pilots speak on it. Only one said he didn't like the P-38, and he flew an early model only before transitioning to another aircraft. All the rest had good experiences, particularly if they flew the P-38J-25 or later models with boosted ailerons.

I never read before about P-38s strafing missions from Poltava. It's good to learn something new.
