Just got back to the hotel from Le Bourget. They have a P-47 and a P-51 next to each other. The Mustang is not a small aircraft, but the P-47 wins on sheer cchunkiness and the huge open frontal area.

Also in the room are a Fw190, a Spitfire, and a Dewoitine D.520. The D.520 is petit.

However, all size comparisons are thrown off by the presence of a 3-seat A-1 Skywalker Skyraider. That airplane is just freaking huge--it looks as though you could stash the Jug inside it.

There's a C-47 overhead, but that still doesn't make the Skyraider look small ...

I thought the UA-1E was for drone control?

edit: Oops, just found a reference to it also being used as a transport and general utility. Does anyone have photos of the interior for the transport version?
