You in the 14th Cav?Good story, LT. "Guess I am old." ...probably not as old as I am.I can sympathize with its being cold in Fulda in the winter. When I was there, '62-'63 we never saw any cheerleaders or USO groups.
Have you ever been to the Dolly Bar or Fischerstube in Frankfurt down near the Haupt Bahnhof? Angelika & Ursula?I guess you don't want to hear about my week leave and the Air Force Cpt type female nurse I meet. My last 6 months in country was exhausting. Me in Fulda and her in Weisbauden (?).
Did not spend much time there. But I heard about KstrassaHave you ever been to the Dolly Bar or Fischerstube in Frankfurt down near the Haupt Bahnhof? Angelika & Ursula?
Maybe that was after 1963?Did not spend much time there. But I heard about Kstrassa
Yikes, I was 1 years old. Guess you also did not see Margaret the Fire Lady at the club? Can it be 61 years since this photo was taken of me standing in front of the Berlin Wall and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin? Yep, February 1962. Where did the time go?View attachment 713582

Damn! No pictures?First trip to Graph I keep hearing we have to see Margaret the Fire Lady at the O club. We were all in our 20s and she was 42. Margaret made the rounds between the Nco and Officers clubs between the major training areas, Grafenwoehr , Vilseck and Hohenfels. After a week of tank tables and mass bordom, the then LTC Abrams, we called him son of tank, had an spur call at the O club for just our Sdrn. Yes I met Margaret the Fire Lady, she was. A body builder stripper. OMG this young Lt had never seen such a site. On post so she had cloth but not much. Flamming batons, breathing fire. High school twirlers could not match her. Lap dancing. And the cold cream she smeared all over the Ltc glasses so he could not see what she was doing. I don't know if was mad for the dirty glasses or because he could not watch. She had a way with worlds. The trash that came out of her mouth. It was not fit for humans but perfect for the Cavalry. She would in her 80s today. We tried to get her for the Regt Dinning In but sadly she was booked.
No cameras allowed but we did get an image with the thermal targeting system.Damn! No pictures?
I love to smell of CS in the morning ...In West Germany 1969-70 we went to the Gas Chamber this way: Marching into a wrecked WWII German Bunker. Enjoy! These are my personal photos.
