Operated by Aéronavale Escadrille d'Exploration E2, initially from Cherbourg, then Karouba (Tunisia), Lanveo-Poulmic (Brittany), Etang de Berre, and finally Arzew (Algeria) from june 1940.
After operation Torch, the Germans captured 17 examples that the Luftwaffe pressed into service to survey the Atlantic coast. The survivors were liberated at the end of the war and scrapped in 1946.

Check how these a/c have the early Bulgarian markings (crosses) with the "strange" double-digit numbers on fuselage. AFAIK 11, 22 and 33 are the numbers of the squadrons (1, 2, 3) and the tail numbers (1-4) are the in squadron-numbers for each a/c. 4 planes made a flight. 3x4=12 a/c in the fighter group. The first of them was 11-1, the last one was 33-4. Bigger than 4 numbers were given to different types of fighter planes. e.g. He-51B.
