Learned something new today, I had no Idea that the USMC flew twelve P-61's as F2T-1's as trainers for F7F crews. Odd to see VF markings on a Black Widow!

Now that photo reminds me of the British camouflage designer (and artist) Roland Penrose, who was husband of Lee Miller, the war-photographer. He designed camouflaged uniforms like this one:

But one of his best exercises was to "camouflage" Lee Miller, saying if he can camouflage her, he can camouflage everything. Here's the result:
