Douglas A-4C Skyhawks from Marine Attack Squadron 223 (VMA-223) Det.T "Bulldogs" are launched from the U.S. Navy
aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CVS-10). VMA-223 Det.T was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 55 (CVSG-55)
aboard the Yorktown for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 22 October 1964 to 17 May 1965.

A Douglas A-4C Skyhawk (BuNo 147710) from Anti-Submarine Fighter Squadron 1 (VSF-1) Det.10 "War Eagles" taxiing to
the catapult of the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CVS-10) in 1969. The VSF-1 Det. 10 was assigned to Carrier
Anti-Submarine Air Group 56 (CVSG-56) for a deployment to the North Atlantic from 2 September to 21 December 1969.
These were the last deployments of VSF-1 and CVS-10, both being decomissioned shortly therafter.

Some photos I took at Ardmore airport in NZ in 1971/72.

The building was an old WW2 Corsair training hangar that was being used at that stage for hangaring a Dragon Rapide and other aircraft. There were other posters as well but they were either too damaged to be worth wasting film on or had too much paint on them (because some "nice" person had used posters to clean their paint brush on).

Tokunaga - a great photographer and a really nice guy! I was scheduled for the last civilian flight in an ANG F-106B, but that flight went to him; he was a much better shooter, and it couldn't have gone to a more decent fellow!

One of my all time favorite actors. Duvall wasn't too shabby either. They don't make them like that anymore. The Blue Max had George Peppard, James Mason (another favorite), and Jeremy Kemp.
