On March 7, 1942, IJA 55th division reached Pegu, Burma to cut the Chiang Kai-shek support route.
33rd division entered Pyinkadgon(?) on March 5 to enter Rangoon on the 8th.


Sakuma regiment of 33rd division reached Yenanchaung oil field to ocuupy on April 17.
