F6F Hellcat mishap on the USS Puget Sound (CVE-113). Date might be summer of 1945. Location is probably near Hawaii. The Hellcat was attached to a Marine Fighter Squadron based at MCAS Ewa

Crew of B-17 "Hell's Angels" 41-24577 358th BS,
303rd Bomb Group 1944. This B17 returned to the US
in Feb 1944 and eventually scrapped.
