The 1944 Warsaw Uprising was a brave and tragic fight by Polish resistance to free their capital from Nazi rule. This talk looks at how the Warsaw Rising Museum keeps that memory alive through powerful exhibits, personal stories, and immersive displays, honoring the fallen and teaching future generations about the fight for freedom.

The seventh and final mission of Operation Frantic was to drop supplies into Warsaw to help the Polish with their fight against the Nazis unfortunately very few of the supplies reached the Polish fighters. Stalin was against assisting the uprising but was eventually talked into it.

He was talked into it after the Wehrmacht crushed the Polish underground. He was making sure that the leaders were eliminated.

FWIIW my father led the escort fighters on FRANTIC VII. He is in center of the VVS commanders and the 13th BW Dpty CO at Pyriatin. The 5 ruble note is the 'short snorter' exchanged for a $5 US. Log time in his logbook was 7.9 hours from Steeple Morden to Posnan to Warsaw to Pyrraitin.

A next door neighbor 40 years ago was a survivor. She told me the last two weeks she was trapped in a chocolate candy factory and survived on rats and chocolate covered cherries.

I noticed the name Marshall on of the photos. Is that Bert Marshall because I have a book written by him.
