Well if they were timing magnetos they could have just neglected to erase the waring from the blade but I do think, more than likely it was done after the aircraft arrived home and inspected. I wonder what the propeller blade cut out of the picture looked like?!?My assumption is that it was written on after the aircraft got home, or it would never have taken off. However to get home it must have turned thousands of times. Also how can you hit a tree without totalling the prop.
