This V-156-F number 10 of AB3 was at Heres Island after the Armistice SHAA

The RAF reported engaging and shooting down at least one Vindicator with German markings near the French coast of the Channel.

A friend of mine who lives in CA told me he heard that in order to test the airfoil shape of the Mustang's wing NAA mounted a test airfoil section atop a station wagon and drove it through the fog on the Pacific Coast Highway to observe the airflow.

I'm really not sure what were they testing but I could imagine it was cheaper this way than to bring it in a wind tunnel. Here's a similar setting for a smaller modern plane:

This is a real plane though with a pilot and could be used as a "catapult" in a way?!?

Wil E. Coyote is in the cockpit. The Acme catapult pivots 180 degrees, smacks him in the ground behind the truck. Then a parachute pops out from the cockpit wreckage.

A friend of mine was trained as a gunner in WW2 and was told that he would be on board B-32's that would be a strafer gunships for the invasion of Japan.

Neither is more likely. It is probably just brakes on and then power up until the tail lifts. Easily done on most tail draggers with that power to weight ratio.
