Been a while since I saw this picture. But am I correct in remembering that one of those Mustangs was captured by the Japanese or was it Downed and the Japanese applied Japanese Markings ???

WOW! I had never considered that a crew member would have to climb onto the upper wing with the engine running to hook up the cable to crane it back onboard. So did they climb the forward engine strut to get up top? With the prop spinning and the plane riding on the waves. Not for me!
