CH-34 "Seahorse" and not choctaw (army) My squadron HMM-262 (and me) in that picture during Operation Steel Pike 1964. Why do they look so good while at sea? well crew chiefs were known to give them a quick shine by rubbing them down with "hydraulic fluid".
