The Squadron nickname is apt VF-132 "Peg Leg Pete's"

The Squadron nickname is apt VF-132 "Peg Leg Pete's" They only flew F8's for 13 months in 1961-62. The coast does not look like Florida, so I wonder where this event occurred? They were based at NAS Cecil Field in Florida for most of that time.

Swedish Prime Minister Tage Erlander (center) visits the De Havilland factory at Hatfield during an official visit to the UK, 6th
March 1963. He is shown a model of the Hawker Siddeley P.1127 by Dr G. H. Hough (left) of the De Havilland Company
and his chairman Sir Aubrey Burke (right). The Hawker P.1127 and the Hawker Siddeley Kestrel FGA.1 are the British
experimental and development aircraft that led to the Hawker Siddeley Harrier, the first vertical and/or short take-off
and landing (V/STOL) jet fighter-bomber.

C-5 lands at Charleston AFB SC and is parked of to one side used by F-4’s. An F-4 lands and as it taxis to its spot noticed the big bird and ask the tower what that monster is doing. Just than the visor (nose) on the C-5 starts to open and the reply comes over the radio “I’m going to eat you all up)!😁😄😅😂🤣
