There were 135 H-34 built by Sikorsky and assembled in France by Sud-Aviation, followed by 166 more directly built under licence by Sud-Aviation.

57 went to the Aéronavale, the other were used by the Armée de l'Air and the Aviation Légère de l'Armée de Terre (ALAT).
