Upon further investigation I find that you are correct. Not that I don't trust Wikipedia, well, you know, they have posted fully false articles before, I did find where it was indeed awarded to the Eagle.

The Tomcat was a wherrly bird as were I think the two A-10 kills so the statement stands!
