F10F was the experimental swing wing Jaguar.

F11F was the tiger. Quite different from the Cougar (F9F-9).

Good correction! The F10F was the ugly one with swing wings. The F11F did start as the F9F-9 Cougar in the years the military guys hoped to get funding for improvements rather than new models. MacNamara figured it out and changed the designation system. Although they were the "whiz kids", the Navy system had them baffled.
