This seems to be an interpretation of photos with the wrong conclusion; there is no evidence that this aircraft was ever termed "TRC-27" and unlikely either to have any link with the T2V-1. It was ordered as a trainer for Bryan AFB but funded as a USAF ARDC project and following test with Lockheed (under bailment from the USAF) it passed to Wright Patterson in May 1954. It was later bailed to the Aircraft Engineering & Maintenance Co. in Oakland CA.
