Stopped by Luke AFB December 1980 and was cool to see the Starfighters!F-104s from the 69th Tactical Fighter Training Squadron being used to train German pilots, circa 1982.

The source: the Internet.
These aircraft were assembled for an inspection by President Harry S Truman at Andrews AFB on 15 February 1949.

B-49. B-35 was the prop powered version, which was later converted into the YRB-49, with only four engines in the wings and two on external pods. Copy of YRB-49 Flight Manual attached. They built a number of those big flying wings but today NOT ONE survives, while we still have couple of B-36's, the XC-99, and an XB-70. Maybe there is something to those reports that it was all but invisible to radar and they did not want that fact getting out given that Northrop had been penetrated by Soviet agents. But if that was true, today we'd be building flying wing stealth bombers, wouldn't we?F-80, 82, 84. XB-35, B-36, 47, and 45, y

It's a B-49; what you can see are the tin tips. Also there wasn't a B-35 at Truman's inspection.Look close it is a 35 and not a 49. If you zoom in you will see the props!
