If this is the one you're thinking about, one engine was still turning.

The one I am thinking of, the F-4 was ht by AAA over NVN, and the damage was to the fuel tank that all the other fuel tanks feed into before it feeds to the engine. So when that tank emptied no engines were turning, but they tried to refuel in a dive.

I think the title of the article was "Dive Tiger Ten, Dive!" And I think it was in one of the few issues of Popular Aviation magazine published back in the late 60's.
