That pic of the Shackleton MR2 brings back memories.
It was in the now defunct Museum of Science & Industry, in Manchester, UK.(It's now at the Avro heritage site at the former Avro factory at Woodford, Cheshire, now surrounded by new housing).
Just before the museum opened, around 1981 from memory, members of my local aero club were invited to visit, and we got to sit in various aircraft (including the Spitfire Mk.V now at Hendon).
Inside the Shackleton was interesting, as RAF personnel were still in the process of stripping out nearly all of the radar and electronics suites, which were still "Classified" equipment at the time !

Most of the jets are F9F-5 Panthers of VF-63 & VF-64.

I also see a couple F2H Banshees (#25 at front left, and one a few aircraft back - all you can see of the second is the wingtip and tip tank, which is mounted lower on the tip than on the Panthers).

departure date 3 August 1953; return date 3 March 1954
CVG-2 (Carrier Air Group 2)
West Pacific operations area
Ports of call: Pearl Harbor, Hi., Yokosuka, Japan, Hong Kong
Assigned squadrons: VF-24 (F9F-6); VF-63 (F9F-5); VF-64 (F9F-5); VA-65 (AD-4B/4NA); VC-3 Det. A (AD-4N); VC-61 Det. A (F2H-2P); VC-35 Det. A (AD-4N); VC-11 Det. A (AD-4W); HU-1 Det. A*

* This squadron used 3 different helicopters in the early 1950s - the Piasecki HUP-2 (UH-25B) Retriever, the Sikorsky HO3S-1 (H-5F) [no US name, saw UK service as the Dragonfly], and the Sikorsky HO4S-3 (UH-19F) Sea Horse - and I cannot find an indication of which was aboard Yorktown for this deployment.
