I had something similar to that one on my ramp at Riyadh when I was Station Captain at (fire) Station 2. We called it "Snoopy" both for its job and its appearance. And it was similarly hideous to gaze upon.

Perhaps, but as I remember, the nose was a bit flatter, more like a duckbill. I can't say what its mission was; I wasn't privy to that info, it was top secret and I only held a secret clearance. I'd have to dig through my papers and see if I have a direct reference to it in orders or letters, etc.
