It's a distinct possibility considering they would use whatever was on hand. I haven't really delved into the French effort in Indochina after the war.

According to Lloyd's book, this is C-119C-23-FA (according to the capture , or -17-FA according to the s/n list) from the 403rd TCG equipped with P&W R-4360-20W(A,D) engines and Hamilton Standard 2H17Q3-26R propellers.
