Hey GTX guy ... and a few others ... as much as we appreciate your frequent, quite interesting posts, HOW ABOUT SOME IDENTIFICATION AND CONTEXT AS APPROPRIATE????
Many images are obscure and/or unique with odd locations, uses, mods, etc.

This SM-62/B-62 Snark was perhaps our first ICBM, one of few unmanned missile craft to get bomber or fighter designation, and few realize it was tail less!
On reaching a target, the warhead/nose would jettison, then follow a ballistic trajectory towards its target. Due to the sudden shift in its CG caused by separation, the fuselage would perform an abrupt pitch-up maneuver in order to avoid a collision with the warhead. The resulting break-up of the missile's structure added clutter which confused enemy radar.

Its got Suez stripes from November 1956-"Operation Musketeer." Once upon a time was G-31 3 at Prestwick for Scottish Aviation and converted to a "target tug" as SE-EBL. Saw it in the paint shop and can still smell the paint from 1962. Location: On display as part of the USS Midway Museum in San Diego, California
