Only a single copyNot many, only a couple if I recall
Only a single copy
Built in 1979 by Fairchild by converting an early production A-10A (serial number 73-1664). Added a second cockpit for a Weapons System Officer (WSO) to handle navigation, target acquisition, and electronic countermeasures during night or bad weather operations. Program was canceled because new automated targeting pods and tech made a dedicated second crew member unnecessary. Taken by ANG unit at Davis-Monathan which used it for transition training, and added minimal flight controls. I was working at Ft. Huachuca at the time, and got two rides in it. Told that now it's preserved and displayed at the Flight Test Museum at Edwards.Only a single copy
An interesting what if
XeroxIf there's only one, how can it be a copy?
